            Baseball Recap: John Adams Spartans vs. Richmond Hill Lions        
        
		
        
        
            John Adams had lost five straight at home, but  on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 4-8 to make it six. They came up short against  the Richmond Hill Lions, falling  12-0. If the Spartans were looking for revenge after losing  4-3 to the Lions when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
As for Richmond Hill, the  victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-2-1. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won six games by six  runs or more  so far this season.
For Richmond Hill's part,  Christopher Duarte and  Adrian Hernandez V made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing,  Duarte   pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Meanwhile,  Hernandez V   pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. The dominant performance also gave  Duarte a new career-high in  strikeouts (four). At bat,  Duarte  went 2-for-3 with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double, while  Hernandez V  went 1-for-3 with two  runs and two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Abel Ortiz was  incredible,  going 1-for-3 with three  RBI, one  triple,  and one  run. That's the most  RBI  he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was  Dwan Fernandez, who  went 2-for-4 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI.
While John Adams had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
