After a string of eight wins, Man's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell just short of the Clay County Panthers by a score of 58-56. The Hillbillies were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 65-52.

Man's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 11-4. As for Clay County, their record is now 4-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Man and Mount View will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. Mount View knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Man likes a good challenge. As for Clay County, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Calhoun at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
