Basketball Game Preview: New Trier Trevians vs. Fremd Vikings

The New Trier Trevians will face off against the Fremd Vikings at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

New Trier is headed into the game having just posted their biggest victory since January 7th on Saturday. They blew past McHenry 70-43.

Meanwhile, Fremd had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.2 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 54-46. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Cougars are ranked 174th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

New Trier's win bumped their record up to 19-7. As for Fremd, their victory bumped their record up to 21-2.
