Basketball Recap: Vanguard Christian Skates Past Southwest Prep Northeast with Ease

Vanguard Christian had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Southwest Prep Northeast KNIGHTS 59-27. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Vanguard Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Isaiah Postell, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and 14 boards. That's the most rebounds Postell has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of David McDonald, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 15 boards.

Vanguard Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 25 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in nine consecutive contests.

Vanguard Christian's win bumped their record up to 20-4. As for Southwest Prep Northeast, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

As of now, neither Vanguard Christian nor Southwest Prep Northeast have any future games scheduled.
