Softball Recap: North Marion Comes Up Short

North Marion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 24-5 to the P.K. Yonge Blue Wave. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Colts of the 15-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Olivia Pierce was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. Trinity Hampton was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

North Marion's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for P.K. Yonge, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-10 record this season.

North Marion will square off against Belleview at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for P.K. Yonge, they will welcome Peniel Baptist Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Blue Wave surely won't give up without a fight.
