Volleyball Recap: Mountain View Has No Trouble Against Mesa

Mountain View won the last time they faced Mesa and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Toros put the hurt on the Jackrabbits with a sharp 3-0 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Toros have posted against the Jackrabbits since October 17, 2023.

Mountain View never let Mesa on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-23, 25-16.

Emma Freeman paced Mountain View's offense, picking up eight kills. Freeman got some help from Annie Tingey and her 17 assists. Tingey was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Mountain View's win bumped their record up to 16-12. As for Mesa, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-26 record this season.

Mountain View will head out to take on Basha at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mesa does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
