While Fairfax's victory against North wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Stampede had just enough and edged out the Mustangs 2-0. The win continues a trend for the Stampede in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won six in a row.

The result came thanks to Seilah Sauceda's shutout, as she gave up just four hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Fairfax saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaslene Soberano, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases. Soberano is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Alexa Quiroz also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Fairfax now has a winning record of 7-6. As for North, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Fairfax will have a chance to go back-to-back against North: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
