On Friday, Newmarket faced Farmington in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Newmarket Mules walked away with a 40-28 victory over the Farmington Tigers. The win was nothing new for the Mules as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Newmarket's victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 17.6 points over those games. As for Farmington, their loss dropped their record down to 13-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Newmarket will face off against Holy Family Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Farmington, they will challenge Portsmouth Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
