Recap: Lake Country Christian Eagles vs. Grace Prep Lions
The Lake Country Christian Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their tenth straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 80-56 defeat at the hands of Grace Prep. While losing is never fun, Lake Country Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1041st, while Grace Prep is ranked 225th).
Despite the loss, Lake Country Christian still got an impressive performance from Josiah Biddle, who scored 23 points. Another player making a difference was Sean Benton, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.
Even though they lost, Lake Country Christian were working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. This was only their 14th loss (out of 19 games) when they've passed the ball that well.
Lake Country Christian has been struggling recently, as they've lost 14 of their last 15 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-22 record this season. As for Grace Prep, their win bumped their record up to 18-8.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Trinity Christian the next time they take the court. Lake Country Christian will head out to face Trinity Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Grace Prep will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
