Basketball Game Preview: St. Charles vs. Oxon Hill Clippers

St. Charles are taking a road trip to face off against the Oxon Hill Clippers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with St. Charles sitting on five straight wins and Oxon Hill on three.

St. Charles is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They walked away with a 61-53 victory over Great Mills.

Meanwhile, Oxon Hill beat Northern 70-59 on Tuesday.

St. Charles better keep an eye on Nigel Harris. He was instrumental in Oxon Hill's win, putting up 24 points. The team also got some help courtesy of William Johns, who posted 16 points.

Oxon Hill's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points over those games. As for St. Charles, their victory bumped their record up to 14-6.

St. Charles beat Oxon Hill 67-56 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Charles since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
