JAG takes loss despite strong efforts from Ladarius Givan and JaMicah Adair

Recap: JAG Jaguars vs. Pinson Valley Indians

It was a good run, but the JAG Jaguars unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 70-59 to Pinson Valley. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for JAG in their matchups with Pinson Valley: they've now lost three in a row.

JAG's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of JaMicah Adair, who scored 21 points, and Ladarius Givan who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. Adair is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Cedrickus Williams, who scored eight points.

JAG's loss dropped their record down to 18-2. As for Pinson Valley, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-8.

JAG will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Pike Road at 7:00 p.m. Pike Road will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 212th, while JAG is ranked 13th). As for Pinson Valley, they will head out on the road to square off against Fairfield at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Fairfield has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 588 points over their last nine matches.
