Baseball Recap: Yelm Takes a Loss

Yelm came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 16-3 to the Puyallup Vikings.

Wesley Thompson was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run and two runs. Barrett Schnetz was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.

Yelm's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Puyallup, the win keeps they at an undefeated 19-0.

Coming up, Yelm will head out on the road to face off against South Kitsap at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Puyallup, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 4-2 victory against Eastlake on the 26th.
