Volleyball Game Preview: Flatirons Academy Bison vs. Gilpin County Eagles + How To Watch

The Flatirons Academy Bison will head out on the road to square off against the Gilpin County Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Flatirons Academy will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

On Thursday, Flatirons Academy made easy work of Byers and carried off a 3-0 victory.

One reason for the win was Flatirons Academy's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-18, 25-13.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Thursday. Gilpin County took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Dayspring Christian Academy. Gilpin County's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Gilpin County started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-19, 25-15, 25-11.

Gilpin County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Flatirons Academy, their win bumped their record up to 15-1.

Flatirons Academy took their victory against Gilpin County when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bison since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
