Basketball Game Preview: Cypress Park Tigers vs. Cypress Lakes Spartans

Cypress Park and Cypress Lakes are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2021, but not for long. The Cypress Park Tigers will host the Cypress Lakes Spartans at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Cypress Park will be strutting in after a victory while Cypress Lakes will be coming in after a defeat.

Cypress Park took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They came out on top against Waller by a score of 75-63. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 210th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 1140th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Cypress Lakes unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Wednesday. They lost to Cypress Springs on the road by a 58-39 margin.

Cypress Park's win bumped their record up to 17-13. As for Cypress Lakes, their loss dropped their record down to 18-13.
