Basketball Game Preview: Palmyra-Eagle Panthers vs. Deerfield Demons

The Palmyra-Eagle Panthers will square off against the Deerfield Demons at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.

Last Saturday, Palmyra-Eagle came up short against Lake Country Classical Academy and fell 60-52.

Meanwhile, Deerfield came tearing into Friday's matchup with 15 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.5 points), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Bulldogs 69-35. The Demons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 games by 20 points or more this season.

Deerfield's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-5. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 23.2 points. As for Palmyra-Eagle, their loss dropped their record down to 13-10.

Things could have been worse for Palmyra-Eagle, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 52-34 loss to Deerfield in their previous meeting back in January.
