Volleyball Recap: Poly Comes Up Short

Poly was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Chavez Eagles. The Parrots were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Poly actually scored more points across those four sets (99-94), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-20, 10-25, 34-32.

Poly's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Chavez, their win bumped their record up to 8-10.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Poly will challenge rival North Hollywood at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Chavez is set to take on their familiar foe Grant at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
