Basketball Recap: Godley Comes Up Short

Godley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 52-34 to the Alvarado Indians. The Wildcats were probably out for revenge after losing 60-47 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Godley's loss dropped their record down to 5-18. As for Alvarado, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Life Waxahachie the next time they take the court. Godley will host Life Waxahachie at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Alvarado will host them at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th.
