Recap: Killeen Kangaroos vs. Rudder Rangers
The Killeen Kangaroos managed to keep up with the Rudder Rangers until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Killeen ended up on the wrong side of a rough 61-39 walloping at the hands of Rudder. While losing is never fun, Killeen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1200th, while Rudder is ranked 361st).
Rudder can attribute much of their success to Dorian Augusta, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 14 rebounds. Jaquise Martin was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Killeen are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12. As for Rudder, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.
Killeen will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against East View at 9:30 a.m. on December 9th. As for Rudder, they will square off against Travis at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Travis is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
