Basketball Game Preview: Kenston Forest Kavaliers vs. Banner Christian

Kenston Forest hasn't had much luck against Banner Christian recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Kenston Forest Kavaliers will be playing at home against Banner Christian at 6:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Kenston Forest is returning to their home court after beating Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot on theirs, despite the fact Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot has dominated at home this season. Kenston Forest came out on top against Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot by a score of 59-52 on Friday.

Kenston Forest's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dayton Williams led the charge by dropping a double-double on 22 points and 17 boards. The matchup was Williams' 15th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Will Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.

Kenston Forest smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Meanwhile, Banner Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Grove Christian School on Saturday, but they still walked away with a 57-52 win.

The victory got Banner Christian back to even at 8-8. As for Kenston Forest, their win bumped their record up to 8-5.

Kenston Forest came up short against Banner Christian in their previous meeting on January 8th, falling 64-53. Can Kenston Forest avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
