Volleyball Recap: Valley Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They came up short against the Johnson Warriors, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-17, 25-15.

Valley's offense was headlined by Anita Thao and Rainy Xiong, who picked up two kills apiece. Thao also shared the team's lead in assists with Brooklyn Xiong: they picked up two each. Thao was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Among those leading the charge was Lilly Khau, who had ten digs and two aces.

Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Johnson, their win ended a seven-match drought on the road and puts them at 3-9.

Valley has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Florin on the 1st. As for Johnson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against West Campus on the 1st.
