Baseball Recap: Clinton Prairie's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

If Clinton Prairie was feeling good fresh off their 12-2 takedown of Southmont on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Gophers fell just short of the Frankfort Hot Dogs by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Gophers haven't had much luck with the Hot Dogs recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Clinton Prairie saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kye Jacobs, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Having lost for the first time this season, Clinton Prairie fell to 2-1. As for Frankfort, the victory made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clinton Prairie will welcome Benton Central at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Frankfort, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Lebanon at 6:00 p.m. The Hot Dogs are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
