Soccer Game Preview: Palisades vs. Ballantyne Ridge

The Palisades Pumas will take on the Ballantyne Ridge Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Palisades' offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

On Tuesday, Palisades didn't have quite enough to beat Olympic and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, Ballantyne Ridge kept a clean sheet against Berry on Tuesday. They blew past the Cardinals 9-0. Julia Freeman was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

Bella Frankel, who's played more minutes than anyone else on the Ballantyne Ridge squad sat out for Tuesday's game. With Frankel sidelined, Ballantyne Ridge had to make some big changes to the lineup. Three players hit the pitch for the first time this season: Freeman, Tallyn Hyland, and Maggie Moore. The pair took full advantage of the opportunity: Freeman scored three goals, while she scored a goal.

The victory got Ballantyne Ridge back to even at 6-6. As for Palisades, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.
