Baseball Recap: Shorecrest Prep Comes Up Short

Shorecrest Prep lost against Tampa Catholic back in February of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Shorecrest Prep Chargers fell 6-1 to the Tampa Catholic Crusaders.

Jake Diner put in work while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Shorecrest Prep dropped their record down to 3-3 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Tampa Catholic, the win keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shorecrest Prep will face off against Bell Creek Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Tampa Catholic, they will square off against Jesuit at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
