Volleyball Recap: North Central Takes a Loss

If North Central was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Leola/Frederick on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Thunder fell just short of the Groton Tigers by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Thunder were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in October of 2016.

Amree VanderVorst paced North Central's offense, picking up nine kills. VanderVorst got some help from Camryn Witlock and her 12 assists.

Groton was led to victory by Sydney Locke and Jerica Locke. Sydney had eight digs, while Jerica had six digs and one assist.

North Central's loss dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Groton, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-3.

North Central has already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Redfield on the 4th. As for Groton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Madison on the 4th.
