Banning has gone 10-0 against Gardena recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Banning Pilots will venture away from home to face off against the Gardena Panthers at 4:30 p.m. Gardena took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Banning, who comes in off a win.

Gardena better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Banning really get things going. Everything went Banning's way against Narbonne on Friday as Banning made off with a 3-0 victory. The win was all the more spectacular given the Pilots' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 436th, while the Gauchos are ranked 183rd).

Meanwhile, Gardena didn't have quite enough to beat San Pedro on Friday and fell 2-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now lost four in a row.

Gardena's loss dropped their record down to 1-6-1. As for Banning, the victory got them back to even at 3-3-2.

Everything went Banning's way against Gardena in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as Banning made off with a 4-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Banning since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
