Soccer Recap: Lordstown Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses at Home

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Badger, Lordstown was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They won by a goal and slipped past the McKinley Red Dragons 1-0. This was payback for Lordstown, who suffered a 5-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Colton Hickman, who's now up to nine this season.

Lordstown's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-7-2. As for McKinley, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

Looking ahead, Lordstown will take on Pymatuning Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for McKinley, they will challenge Poland Seminary at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Poland Seminary's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so McKinley's offense will have their work cut out for them.
