Baseball Recap: STEAM Academy at McCluer South Berkeley Comes Up Short

If STEAM Academy at McCluer South Berkeley was feeling good fresh off their 14-4 takedown of Hazelwood Central last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs fell 9-6 to the McCluer North Stars on Wednesday. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Stars recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Dylan Merkle was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Mustafa Taylor, who scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

STEAM Academy at McCluer South Berkeley's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for McCluer North, their record is now 3-6.
