The East Lake Eagles will square off against the Anclote Sharks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Lake is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.
East Lake is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Neumann just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Celtics by a score of 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Eagles have suffered since April 25, 2024.

East Lake saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Spink, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave Spink a new career-high.
Meanwhile, Anclote hadn't done well against Pasco recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Anclote put the hurt on Pasco with a sharp 9-2 win. The Sharks not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since March 7th.
Anthony Brasby was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
In other batting news, Anthony Ramos was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. Nathan Langley was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
East Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Anclote, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-13.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. East Lake has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Anclote struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.6 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Everything went East Lake's way against Anclote in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as East Lake made off with a 12-1 win. Does East Lake have another victory up their sleeve, or will Anclote turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
