Recap: Klahowya Eagles vs. Cascade Christian Cougars
The Klahowya Eagles lost against the Cascade Christian Cougars back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Klahowya took a serious blow against Cascade Christian, falling 62-22. It was the first time this season that Klahowya let down their fans at home.
Jackson Kealoha threw for 241 yards and three touchdowns. Grant Solvie was his top target, picking up 118 receiving yards.
Cascade Christian had a senior duo take command as Jack Tangen rushed for 238 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per carry and Byson Vasquez rushed for 127 yards and four touchdowns. Brayden Metcalfe got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
The team's defense also helped out by holding Klahowya to a paltry 243 yards. A big part of that defensive dominance came down to Cascade Christian's ability to keep the quarterback under pressure: the team laid him out three times before it was all said and done. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Metcalfe.
Klahowya has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. As for Cascade Christian, their win bumped their record up to 8-2.
Klahowya does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Cascade Christian will head out on the road to face off against Nooksack Valley at 7:00 p.m. on November 11th. Nooksack Valley is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
