Preview: East Canton Hornets vs. Indian Valley Braves
The East Canton Hornets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Indian Valley Braves at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Indian Valley took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on East Canton, who comes in off a win.
Last Saturday, East Canton narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Malvern 43-40.
Audrey Wade was the offensive standout of the game as she dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. Wade is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Ella Carter was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 19 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Indian Valley unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They were beaten by Hiland 61-29.
Minerva's win bumped their season record to 0-0 while East Canton's loss dropped theirs to 0-2.
Things could have been worse for East Canton, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 48-34 loss to Indian Valley when the teams last played back in February.
