Football Recap: Aquinas Institute Takes a Loss

The matchup between Aquinas Institute and University Prep on Saturday hardly resembled the 21-2 effort from their previous meeting. The Little Irish came up short against the Griffins, falling 40-20. The Little Irish were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Griffins apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Although Aquinas Institute took the loss, they still got scores from Brody Lennox, Kellan Campe, and Kaliem Smith.

This is the second loss in a row for Aquinas Institute and nudges their season record down to 3-4. As for University Prep, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Looking ahead, Aquinas Institute will face off against Pittsford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for University Prep, they will challenge St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
