Baseball Recap: Faith Lutheran Takes a Loss

Faith Lutheran had lost five straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 17-14 to make it six. They lost 10-0 to the Centennial Bulldogs. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Crusaders have suffered against the Bulldogs since March 13, 2018.

Faith Lutheran saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rouselle Shepard, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

As for Centennial, their record now sits at 19-12. Considering they have won 12 matches by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

On Centennial's side, Kane Barber tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. Barber has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Noa Oyadomari, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Faith Lutheran will head out to square off against Las Vegas at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Crusaders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season. As for Centennial, they will head out on the road to face off against Bishop Gorman at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
