Baseball Game Preview: Indiana Little Indians vs. Belle Vernon Leopards

The Indiana Little Indians will challenge the Belle Vernon Leopards at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Indiana 2, Belle Vernon 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Indiana is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They never let Ambridge get on the board and left with a 1-0 win.

Meanwhile, Belle Vernon was able to grind out a solid victory over Beaver on Monday, taking the game 5-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Leopards.

Parker Lind tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 11 over 6.2 innings pitched. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 5.2 strikeouts per game.

At the plate, Alonzo Wade was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Indiana's win bumped their record up to 20-2. As for Belle Vernon, their victory bumped their record up to 15-6.

Indiana came up short against Belle Vernon when the teams last played back in May of 2016, falling 8-4. Can the Little Indians avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
