Football Recap: Westminster Takes a Loss

Westminster fell victim to University and their airtight defense on Saturday. They were dealt a 29-0 defeat at the hands of the Trojans. The Lions just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Carson Cruz looked great while leading her team to the win, throwing for 130 yards and three touchdowns. That's the most passing touchdowns she has posted since back in October of 2024.

Westminster's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for University, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-6.

Looking ahead, Westminster will head out to take on Tustin at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The contest will give the Lions their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for University, they have already played their next game, a 38-0 victory against Eastside on the 30th.
