Softball Recap: Loretto Mustangs vs. Summertown Eagles
Loretto lost against Summertown last Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Loretto Mustangs fell just short of the Summertown Eagles by a score of 7-5. Loretto has not had much luck with Summertown recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Loretto saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kiersten Randell, who went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and two RBI.
Loretto's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Summertown, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-6.
Loretto will head out on the road to challenge Columbia Central at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Summertown, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against McNairy Central at 6:00 p.m.
