Volleyball Recap: Centennial Extends Winning Streak to Three

Centennial had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Sierra Vista Mountain Lions. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Anne Bernard paced Centennial's offense, picking up 11 kills. Bernard got some help from Dalilah Carvajal and her 18 assists. Carvajal was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Centennial's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Sierra Vista, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-2.

Coming up, Centennial will hit the road for the first time this season to take on Desert Oasis at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sierra Vista, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Palo Verde at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
