Volleyball Game Preview: Highlands Ranch Falcons vs. Douglas County Huskies

Highlands Ranch hasn't had much luck against Douglas County recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Falcons will challenge the Huskies at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Highlands Ranch came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to Rangeview.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-18, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Douglas County faced Valor Christian in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Huskies took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Huskies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Douglas County had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 21 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-21, 25-27, 25-23.

Highlands Ranch's defeat dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Douglas County, their loss dropped their record down to 16-5.

Highlands Ranch came up short against Douglas County in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, falling 3-1. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
