Football Recap: Muskegon Catholic Central Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Muskegon Catholic Central was the 62-0 winner over Shelby when they last played one another back in October of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. The Crusaders took a blow against the Tigers on Friday, falling 44-8. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Shelby got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Isaac Garcia out in front who rushed for 93 yards and one TD, and also threw for 134 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 11 passes. Garcia really tore up the turf during one magnificent 86-yard run. Another player making a difference was Jaylin Henderson, who gained 109 total yards and three touchdowns.

Muskegon Catholic Central's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Shelby, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Muskegon Catholic Central will square off against Frankfort at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Shelby, they will face off against Manistee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will be up against the Mariners' rather soft defense (which has allowed 31 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
