Soccer Game Preview: Seguin vs. Jay

The Seguin Matadors will venture away from home to face off against the Jay Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Seguin's victory against Brackenridge wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Seguin's defense stepped up to hand Brackenridge a 1-0 shutout on Wednesday. Sophia Salinas had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Matadors.

Meanwhile, Jay waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. They put the hurt on the Titans with a sharp 4-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won 14 contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Jay's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-3-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 30 goals over those six games. As for Seguin, they now have a winning record of 10-9-1.
