Baseball Recap: Pleasant Valley Find Success

While Pleasant Valley put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Shasta. The Vikings walked away with a 3-0 win over the Wolves. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-0 on Tuesday.

Pleasant Valley got a great performance from Brayden Borges as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over 5.2 innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Borges has posted since back in March.

At the plate, Pleasant Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Greyson Christie, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Pleasant Valley hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

The victory made it two in a row for Pleasant Valley and bumps their season record up to 14-12. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for Shasta, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 14-12.

Looking ahead, Pleasant Valley will face off against River City at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
