Basketball Game Preview: Gage Park Fighting Owls vs. Victoria Soto Wolves

The Gage Park Fighting Owls will challenge the Victoria Soto Wolves at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Gage Park is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.6 points per game this season.

Gage Park is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by ACERO Garcia to the tune of 84-41 last Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Fighting Owls.

Gage Park can attribute much of their success to Anton Macklin, who posted 20 points, and Kenneth Wright, who earned 18 points. With that strong performance, Wright is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. Another player making a difference was Steven Cavin, who put up eight points.

Meanwhile, Victoria Soto was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 59-31 defeat at the hands of Noble Street College Prep.

Gage Park's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Victoria Soto, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.

Everything came up roses for Gage Park against Victoria Soto when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 63-28 victory. In that contest, Gage Park amassed a halftime lead of 43-15, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
