Football Recap: Veterans Warhawks vs. Southwest DeKalb Panthers
Veterans and Southwest DeKalb squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Veterans had to settle for second. They and the Southwest DeKalb Panthers were almost perfectly matched up, but they suffered a 13-12 loss. That makes it the first time this season the Warhawks have let down their home crowd.
Veterans' defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-7. As for Southwest DeKalb, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4-1 record this season.
