The La Quinta Aztecs are taking a road trip to take on the Calvary Chapel Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. La Quinta is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

La Quinta will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Friday, then bounced right back against Rancho Alamitos on Monday. La Quinta came out on top against Rancho Alamitos by a score of 13-2 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The win continues a trend for the Aztecs in their matchups with the Vaqueros: they've now won five in a row.

Raellie Faatuga was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Savannah Halowell, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

La Quinta always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.

Meanwhile, Calvary Chapel lost 15-4 to Trabuco Hills on Monday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bella Bos was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Riley Small also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

La Quinta's record now sits at 2-3. As for Calvary Chapel, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

La Quinta came up short against Calvary Chapel in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, falling 6-1. Can La Quinta avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
