Softball Recap: Roosevelt Has No Trouble Against Tea

Roosevelt had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Tea on Tuesday. The Rough Riders were the clear victors by an 11-5 margin over the Titans.

Desiree Hinsch made a splash while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 14 over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Abigail Paulsen and Rylinne Devries did most of the damage at the plate: Paulsen scored three runs while going 2-for-3, while Devries scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-3. That's the most stolen bases Devries has posted since back in April of 2024. Kaylie Drew was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI.

Roosevelt's record is now 2-0. As for Tea, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Roosevelt will host Harrisburg at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tea, they will challenge Washington at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
