Volleyball Recap: Auburn Falls Despite Big Games from Graycen Jones and Emma Hyde

Auburn lost against Freeman back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bulldogs came up short against the Falcons, falling 3-0. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Despite the defeat, Auburn had strong showings from Emma Hyde, who had 23 assists and seven digs, and Graycen Jones, who had ten digs and one assist. Hyde has been hot, having posted 18 or more assists the last seven times she's played.

Auburn's loss dropped their record down to 18-12. As for Freeman, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Auburn will venture away from home to face off against Plattsmouth at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Freeman, they will head out to challenge Elmwood-Murdock at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
