Basketball Recap: Spencer Center Falls to Depaul Cristo Rey in First Game of Season

Spencer Center unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 67-46 to DePaul Cristo Rey on Friday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Spencer Center's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Reuben Whitehead, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 11 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Joseph Williams, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 13 rebounds.

Looking ahead, Spencer Center will challenge Gamble Montessori at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for DePaul Cristo Rey, they will welcome Norwood at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
