Basketball Recap: Liberty Tree Academy Starts Season with Win at Home

Liberty Tree Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They breezed past the Manzanola Bobcats to the tune of 47-11. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the War Eagles had established a 22-point advantage.

Melody Pruitt had an outrageously good game as she dropped a double-double with 22 points and ten boards. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in field goal percentage (67%). Brileigh Wootten was another key player, putting up six points and eight rebounds.

Coming up, Liberty Tree Academy will challenge Golden View Classical Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Manzanola, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Granada at 2:00 p.m. on the 13th.
