Piper is a perfect 7-0 against Leavenworth since February of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The two teams will compete for holiday cheer at 7:15 p.m. Piper knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Leavenworth likes a good challenge.

Piper is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering West just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 72-62 to the Chargers.

Meanwhile, Leavenworth came up short against Atchison on Wednesday and fell 54-43. The PIONEERS' loss didn't just snap their winning streak: it also ended the team's undefeated season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Leavenworth fell to 2-1. As for Piper, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Everything came up roses for Piper against Leavenworth in their previous meeting back in January, as the team secured a 76-26 win. Will the Pirates repeat their success, or do the PIONEERS have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
