Devine took a 29-point defeat the last time they faced off against Floresville, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Warhorses / Arabians skirted past the Tigers/Jaguars 40-37. The win was nothing new for the Warhorses / Arabians as they're now sitting on four straight.

Despite the loss, Floresville still got an impressive performance from Alissa Hilario, who went 7-for-17 on her way to 17 points in addition to six boards and four steals. Hilario has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Nevaeh Joyner was another key player, putting up six points and seven rebounds.

Devine's victory bumped their record up to 15-12. As for Floresville, their loss dropped their record down to 14-19.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Devine is set to challenge their familiar foe Uvalde at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Floresville will face off against rival Somerset at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
