Volleyball Recap: Wesleyan Wolves vs. Darlington Tigers

With a playoff game on the line, Wesleyan rose to the challenge on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Darlington Tigers as they made off with a 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wolves also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2015.

Wesleyan was especially dominant in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-13, 25-19.

Wesleyan's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Taylor Douglas led the charge by getting 23 digs. Douglas has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Allie Godfrey, who had 14 digs and two aces.

She wasn't the only good server: Wesleyan was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Darlington only served five.
